Recipes - Sauces - Tomato and Apple Chutney



Ingredients:

24 tomatoes ( ½ ripe and ½ green)
500g onions
1 tin smooth apricot jam
6 large apples
1 bottle vinegar
2 ½ t cayenne pepper
3 cups sugar
1 t ginger
3 T maizena
2 t bisto/gravy powder



Method:

Peel and chop the tomatoes. Grate the onions and apples.
Cook all the ingredients except the maizena for 2 ½ hours on low heat.
Thicken with maizena and bottle while hot.
